How does level control work?
Using the motion of the car between the axle and body it pumps the shock absorber up to the unloaded level of the car. It uses no extra motor or battery. It can do this at loads up to the car`s maximum loaded weight. Each level control kit is specified for a particular car variant. This ensures maximum comfort and damping at all load levels. Automatic level control gradually returns the car to its unloaded level after about 500-1,500 meters.
A complete kit consists of: Two rear shock absorbers with automatic level control, two new rear springs, anti-roll bar (only for XC70)
Accessories - There is no need to replace the anti-roll bar on S80, S60, V70, V70 AWD and XC70. Volvo recommends replacement of the anti-roll bar on V70 and XC70 for optimal driveability when towing a heavily loaded trailer.
